Today was a good....

Today was a good day. A good productive one. Almost Ice Cube-like. My weekdays start at 3 am. Being that I start my day job at either 3:45, 4 am or 4:15, depending on the day. My schedule is another topic but things got done. Firstly, I am currently working on and completing this YWCA honorary gala event video of 6 short videos. Earlier in the morning, an email stating they love the videos but need a couple minute tweaks. So I felt good about that. Dropped my youngest off to school as she has been excited and anticipating her school field trip since the day before. She had fun. En route to Beacon with my photographer cousin and co - d, Tylon Ross to meet the dope, talented and quiet beauty, our model, Liv Goo, for a short shoot. The shoot was part of our New Creative Order collection. A collection of video and stills photography. We first shot in the Bank Square cafe on Main Street in Beacon. While it was active. Kind ofncriwded with folks laptopping, correcting tests for school, coffee dates or plugged into the Matrix. We quietly manuevered around them. We weren't that much of a disturbance. Only there for 30 mins or so. Or a little more. Give a take a camera or 2. Then we went outside on the side patio. Ended uop about mid way of Main Street near a church next to a beautiful bricked building with a working, old school fire escape running down it's side toward its front. Shooting with Liv is just so effortless and fluid. She's a natural who doesn't need to do much. Her was adds a load of contour. She is a pleasure to capture moments. That ended around the time I had to go pick up Sabreen. 4 pm'ish. Did my daddy day care thing. Called my mom to hold them down so we can get on the air, live with Miss 845, Moochie Montana out in Middletown. The livest online radio show in the Hudson Valley. Moochie is putting it down. I was a guest, for the 1st time, to talk about our upcoming event, Creative Portfolio for the Digital Artist, on the 20th of May at the 358 Gallery in Poughkeepsie. I'm way better behind the camera! Or computer. But we chopped it up about a few good things. To see more, you gotta follow or social media. And after all that, pizza. Now to rest up and conquer the next days as well.

Today wasa good day!

Newburgh Last Saturday of January

This past weekend was the last weekend of the month which was also that of Newburgh last Saturday's. It was filled with multiple festivities, good group gatherings and good vibes. Phan Media started early with their taping of the first round of 1 to 24 for season 2. There was an excellent turnout. An awesome gathering of multiple cultured creatives. Not only did some of them perform but they also had a powerful shindig with others who didn't perform but came to support. From the dynamics of the current state of local and indie artist, as well as our future to how we all started and how we are can somehow support each other for the better future to come. From the point of views from rappers, spoken word artists and singers. Later that day, we caught a quick interview with Professor and sculptor Martin Dominguez at his exhibition and talk at SUNY Orange Kaplan Hall. Afterwards we headed over to Broadway where the happenings were... happening. Starting out at Space Create to check out Roger Richardson's exhibition, an eclectic display of 3D-like character facial drawings on paper. Then we went over to 2 Alice's where Park Sound held their open mic sloganned, "We don't want to be famous, we just want to be heard." It was an energetic setting and had multiple artists perform including Park Truth himself. From leaving there, we went up to the black and white situation of Teran Studios latest exhibit. The art gallery is not just an art gallery, it's an art gallery with a party. Musical performances by Jeremy Torres, McBride and a DJ throughout the night. This was Will Teran's most powerful show with the most array of artists works in a show. Great black and white theme with great black and white photos. The vibe was as it always is. Through the roof and wall to wall great installations. Great energies, great people and great atmosphere. Phan Media was there to capture a lot of these beautiful moments. On Sunday, we ended up filming a bit of Frankee Victoria Ryan of Marvelous Life, had tryouts for Runway Ready for kids. An opening casting call, hap  pened at Hudson Valley Arts live in Newburgh. Precious little kids strut the walkway hopefully to be casted. Her upcoming runway ready for kids in will be later in February. Now it's time for me to hit the editing suite and put all of this together. It is a fun weekend and we're looking forward to more weekends, creative weeks and beyond to come. Stay tuned.

Website & Indiegogo launch

So we finally got our website up (www.phanmediaweb.com) & running. As well as IndieGoGo crowdfunding page. The campaign has begun. It's been a little journey but things are moving forward. What we've done and doing with Phan Media, we're hoping our community will reciprocate that in supporting our campaign by donating generously. We've filmed lots of segments, creative elements and talked with a loads of dope artists. So now we're just putting it all together and bring it to you. Now our networking game has to step it up even more. Including that outside of our circles. We want every artist that appears on our show and or in the area to truly flourish and shine. To be the stars that they are. What Phan Media does and will be is be a platform for them visually. So in return what we're doing for artists we need everyone to do for the show. To share, pass along and introduce it to your friends, family and your own networks. We can create our own little independent industry. So let's get it started. 30 days to make at least $8000, hopefully more. Phan Media, where artists are fans and the fans are artists!
