Fundraiser

Hello ArtWorld and all others. We at Phanatiks Entertainment are about to embark on making a feature length movie in and around the city of Newburgh, NY. We do not have all the funds available for this production, yet. We are having a FUNDRAISER - JULY 18, 2009, from 2 PM to 5 PM, back courtyard of 409 S. William Street, Apt. B, Newburgh, NY.
It is a Vinyl Sale/Cook-Out Fundraiser in order the start and tackle this project. We ask humbly for all and everyone to participate and make yourselves known. We have to support eachother! Support local artists!
There will be great grilled foods there at $5/Dinners incl. drink. The Vinyl Sale will be of all types of records from the 1970's to late. Great for producers, record relics and those who just miss the sound of real classics. Records start at $3/record. Crates and CD's will be available as well.
There also will be a couple of raffles. For bands and artists/musicians, we will be raffling a FREE Video Production done by us and all others who download a copy of the flyer from our website will get $150 off a video of their own. Raffle tickets to win the free video production are 6 for $5 and or 13 for $10. There's also chances to win gift cards from Ribbons Merchandising, Target stores and or Macy's.

post any questions and or inquiries. Please contribute, donate, participate this event and local artists!!!

DisMental Order

Hello ArtWorld. This is Shawn Strong a VisComm major @ SUNY Orange. Being that there is no Media degree, as of yet, @ SUNY Orange and completed all my Visual Communications classes, I ventured doing more Independent work. The Practicum, taken with Professors Susan Slater- Tanner and Jennifer Lehtinen open some opportunities for me and to also work with them in a short film done for my final project. Please watch and comment please. The premise; This 6 minute short is about a young man with schizophrenia, thinking and believing that everyone else is unclean and not as knowledgeable as he. Throughout, each scene is a metaphor for situations brought on by individuals in their respected minds of their polluted neighborhoods. Ending with the ploy that, you never know how a person can be or how they think - after one gets their position.
