Jazz at the Iron Forge Inn

The Hudson Valley Jazz Ensemble played great at todays live brunch set at the Iron Forge Inn in Warwick, NY. Nothing better than good jazz and good food at the end of a nice weekend. The ensemble consists of Dave Smith on keyboards, Jeremy Goldberg on bass and Steve Rubin on the drums. They played very well together, as they should be seasoned players throughout New York in their own rights. We did a brief interview with them in between sets in which they had some valuable words on, for and about playing jazz. You'll have to check out Phan Media for that. We also kicked with the owner and chef of the Iron Forge Inn, Erik Johansen. We talked about the history of the inn and how he himself started as a washer and the family emblems that gives the inn it's distinct texture. Being a pescatarian myself, the Farmer's Egg Friattata was dope...meaning good! I'll definitely will be going back. Service is top notch as well. Stop by there if you haven't and in or near Warwick. It's a beautiful time to get away from city and enjoy some good country side.

The Sweet Art of Networking

Today was a good day in Newburgh. Phan Media went out to capture Stephanie Eichelberger's Art Exhibition, "Transcendent," which was held at Newburgh's newest Art addition of Space Create. The reception was filled with her own creative, eclectic creations inspired by her traveling and amazed onlookers who were now in her world. She is very open-minded and it comes across in her works. Hand paintings, sketches, drawings and she also has a thing for photography, which has not been displayed yet for exhibition. Before we interviewed her, we stop a couple of doors down for the Cupcake-a-Palooza, which was a sweet event, held in the lobby of the Ritz Theater on Broadway of downtown Newburgh, NY. Who has the best cupcakes in the Hudson Valley? Michelle Food Network came away as top cupcaker, makers of that chocolate with peanut butter reesieness goodness topping cupcake, was favorite. There were some good pumpkin cupcakes as well.

Lastly, we ended the day at a Business Networking Function sponsored by Corey Allen and his team of young intellectuals that provide beneficial information on building business credit and other knowledge pertaining to becoming "financially free." The event was held at the beautiful establishment, Hudson Valley Arts Live which will also be the second home and set for Phan Media Web-show.

A good day for Phan Media, which will be airing real soon.
